Bridgend, Wickford, Thetford, Amsterdam and Baddi: what each Adaptog location does, and how a batch moves between them.
Adaptog operates from five locations across the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and India. Each one focuses on a different part of the work, and together they cover the path from formulation to delivery. Here is what happens at each Adaptog site.
Bridgend, Wales: formulation, production and manufacturing
Bridgend is the Adaptog formulation, production and manufacturing laboratory. Formulations are developed, batches are produced, and vials are filled and labelled here under one batch record. Services delivered here include formulation, product development, white-label production and manufacturing.
Wickford, Essex: analytical testing and freeze-drying
Wickford is the Adaptog analytical and lyophilisation location. Identity and purity testing by HPLC and LC-MS, and freeze-drying of filled vials, take place here. See HPLC and analytical testing and freeze-drying.
Thetford, Norfolk: UK warehousing and cold-chain storage
Thetford provides lot-tracked storage of finished stock, including cold-chain storage, with temperature-controlled shipping across the United Kingdom and international logistics.
Amsterdam, the Netherlands: EU warehousing and distribution
Amsterdam is the Adaptog European base for storage, including cold-chain storage, and distribution, with temperature-controlled shipping to customers across the EU and international logistics.
Baddi, India: biologics facility
Baddi, in Himachal Pradesh, is the Adaptog biologics facility in India.
How Adaptog locations work together
A batch can move between Adaptog locations without its records starting again. A typical route looks like this:
- Formulate and manufacture in Bridgend.
- Test and freeze-dry in Wickford.
- Store and distribute from Thetford for the UK, or Amsterdam for the EU.
Each stage is recorded against the same lot. Our article on Adaptog batch traceability explains why that matters.
Why Adaptog uses specialised locations
Keeping each kind of work at its own location has practical advantages. Each site can be set up for one job: production and filling need clean, controlled areas, while analytical work needs instruments and a quiet, stable environment, and warehousing needs space and stock control. Separating them also reduces risk, because a problem at one stage does not have to affect the others.
Holding stock in both the UK and the EU means orders can be sent from the warehouse closest to the customer, which shortens delivery times. See Adaptog delivery for transit times from each.
Which Adaptog location handles your project?
You do not need to choose. When you request a quote, the scope of your project decides which locations are involved, and the records follow the work from one to the next. Each service page shows where that service is carried out.
